HORUS’s ventilation systems directs cooling, drying air into the helmet, and use areas of low air pressure to the rear of the helmet to draw warm, damp air through the exhaust outlets and into the outside environment.
HORUS visors protect the pilot against wind, dirt, insects and 99% of the sun’s damaging UV rays. HORUS Flight helmet has a single visor system manufactured using a 2.0mm Lexan Polycarbonate with anti-scratch / antifog coating. A locking visor system plus a quick release down position locking safety system is provided.
The EPS liner of the HORUS is designed to absorb the energies of an impact. HORUS’ innovative Dual-Layer, Multi-Density EPS liner systems not only provide enhanced impact absorption by utilizing varying densities of foam in key areas around the pilot’s head, but they are also designed to allow cooling air to travel unrestricted through tunnels created in the EPS, further enhancing our superior ventilation characteristics.
The chinstrap of the Italian-made HORUS helmet is made from Kevlar fire-resistant materials. This fully adjustable chin strap comes with a micrometric buckle and metal plates.
As with the rest of the Horus helmet, the chin strap is designed to be comfortable, no matter how long it is worn.
The fire-retardant Kevlar webbing type chin retention system with side steel plates is matched with a quick-release self-extinguishing micrometric adjustment buckle.
The Coolmax ear padding contains built-in speakers that deliver excellent noise attenuation, even in extremely high noise environments.
The communication module, a Horus/CF Helmets exclusive, is in the rear of the helmet and integrates a CEP module and independent volume control.
The system is designed to work with a boom mic or with a mic corded inside of an oxygen mask. The Horus will never get in the way of proper communications.
HORUS has integrated action camera points with removable brackets that allow the user to mount one or several GoPro cameras on the helmet.
The anti-snag, lightweight oxygen mask bayonet receivers are designed to avoid issues with the parachute riser snagging during an ejection. They are available in either a metallic (bead blasted) or black.
This design was vital to our team; if you lose oxygen during an ejection, you can find yourself in an awful situation. Too often, this feature is ignored by designers, but we’ve made sure it was tested and proven in Horus.
The RECCO detector emits a directional radar signal, like the beam of a flashlight. When the radar signal hits the RECCO reflector, it is echoed back to the detector and points the rescuer in the direction of the victim. The closer the detector gets to the reflector the stronger the returned-signal, ultimately allowing the rescuer to pinpoint the victim’s location.
RECCO reflectors are lightweight, power-free transponders made to last a lifetime. Integrated into gear from 150+ brands—or available as standalone attachments—they enhance searchability without maintenance.
The HORUS ANR H77 delivers clear cockpit audio and reduces noise to ease pilot stress. With premium components, reliable build, and support for secondary audio sources, it’s engineered for true-to-life sound and long-lasting performance.
