Description

The HORUS HH-77 Rotary Wing is a modular helicopter flight helmet engineered for pilots and aircrew in SAR, EMS, offshore, and tactical operations — missions where fit, stability, and clear communication can’t be compromised.

Built on a lightweight Carbon Kevlar shell with a Coolmax interior and a quick-release Kevlar chin strap, the HH-77 is designed to stay secure and comfortable through long flights. Its modular configuration lets you specify a choice of polycarbonate optical visors, microphones, and comm cables to match your aircraft and mission, all backed by a full suite of military and European certifications.

For night and mission-specific operations, the HH-77 accepts a range of upgrades — including the quick-disconnect NVG mount, ANR communication system, Ermes in-ear system, NOMEX interiors, and Micro Night Light system. The NVG mount attaches and releases night vision goggles in seconds without tools, with numbered fore-aft and vertical adjustment for repeatable eye relief and alignment, supporting both dual-tube and monocular configurations.

Please note: the NVG mount is an optional upgrade and, where fitted, includes the mount only. Night vision goggles are shown in product images for illustration and are not included; they are available separately.

We keep ready-to-go HORUS helmets in stock. However, for custom paint or special integrations, delivery typically takes 4–6 weeks.

Standard Items: Returns accepted only with prior written consent, requested within 10 days of delivery and received within 30 days of purchase.

The HH-77/RT seamlessly integrates with the optional Horus. The Horus HBM-7/P Shamal Oxygen Mask system delivers comprehensive head and respiratory protection for aircrew.

Maximum Fit and Comfort

For optimal fit and comfort during extended missions, the HH-77/RT weighs under 1 kg (excluding NVGs) and features the Horus Coolmax LINER, a cutting-edge, lightweight helmet liner. Additional comfort is provided by Horus’s soft Gel ear seals assemblies to complete the helmet comfort package.

Advanced Eye Protection

The HH-77/RT comes with dual visors for enhanced protection in various conditions, including standard day and night visors, with optional high-contrast, gradient, and laser visors.

NVG Quick Disconnect

Horus’s innovative NVG mount enables rapid attachment and detachment of night vision goggles, ensuring safe and effortless operation. It provides the stability and functionality of standard NVGs while optimizing eye relief to enhance the field of view.

Head Size

Measuring your head is very important to have a perfect fit and is not difficult to accomplish, so don’t just assume!

The best way to measure your head is to have a soft tailor band available. If you do not own one, ask someone who might. If this fails, wrap a string around your head, mark the point it meets, and then lay the string flat to measure it.

You want to measure your head circumference at the most significant point—generally around eyebrow level. Once you’ve got a number, consult the sizing chart to determine where you fit.

How to Take an Exact Measurement of Your Head Size

You have to take a small metal tape or cloth tape to confirm the measurement. If possible, have someone assist you.

  • Measure the fullest part of your head above the ears; measure the forehead.
  • Measure about one inch above the eyebrows or at the largest possible circumference.
  • Measure the length of your head from the front to the back.
  • Measure the width of your head from one ear to the other.

Important Tips

  • Different brands have different sizing charts. Fitting may vary due to shell size, cheek pads, and interior padding.
  • The best fit is always achieved by trying the real helmet and testing padding configurations.
  • Always wear the best flight helmet your budget allows. Compare the available models and, if possible, try them on. What looks good in photos might not be comfortable or safe in the air. A helmet is an essential piece of gear that will stay with you through many flight adventures.
